Caitlin Harrington, Account Manager
Quietly working behind the scenes on just about every JA project, Caitlin has carved out a niche for herself as the agency's most trusted source of information on the status of our work. She manages it all, whether for major academic centers or medical device companies, with an uncannily calm demeanor, in spite of the turmoil and details that would test the abilities of many people.
Caitlin is a graduate of Colby College in Waterville, Maine, where she majored in English and creative writing, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006. While at Colby, Caitlin also worked as the Web assistant for the Colby Bookstore, where she designed, edited, and published various projects for the online bookstore. She was a member of the Colby women's ice hockey team, serving as team captain in her senior year.
Caitlin's first position out of school was with Dartmouth Publishing, Inc. in Sudbury, Massachusetts, where she found herself in close contact with the creative, fast-paced, and detail-oriented world of electronic design, illustration, and composition. Major clients in the academic publishing industry included Pearson Education, UCal Berkeley Press, Addison-Wesley, Elsevier Science, and Scholastic.
Caitlin joined JA in 2007 to further her interests in project management and e-learning, helping to promote better health outcomes for everyone. "I enjoy working on e-learning and webinar programs," notes Caitlin. "We're able to get instant feedback from healthcare providers after they participate in our educational activities, and it challenges us to produce engaging and innovative material. It is rewarding to know that our work is actually enhancing their practice of medicine."
When not working or commuting back and forth to our Boston office, Caitlin enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, and live music of all sorts. Together with her husband, Dave, she is raising a sweet, vivacious toddler son—her favorite project to date.
